McClure Engineering has over 35 years of hands-on experience in boiler design and operational enhancement. It is recognized as one of the most knowledgeable design firms in the Northwest. Mr. McClure has taught classes on boiler efficiency and operations. McClure Engineering has designed new boiler installations and boiler modifications for systems utilizing natural gas, number two and number six fuel oil, coal, wood, and industrial refuse.

McClure Engineering is capable of providing a full range of services, including boiler system assessment, systems modifications design, new boiler installation design, bidding assistance, and contract administration.

Energy savings and client satisfaction:
McClure Engineering has been a leader in any effort to enhance boiler efficiencies for commercial, institutional, and industrial clients. One recent installation involved the design and contract administration for installation of a condensing economizer which saves the client approximately 15% of their natural gas bill, and achieved a 2 1/2 year payback.

With over 500 HVAC systems designed by our firm, our wealth of knowledge and experience qualifies McClure Engineering, Inc. to design new or upgrade existing water, air, steam and DX HVAC systems with aptitude and confidence.

Energy Conservation and HVAC

When designing HVAC systems, McClure Engineering, Inc. seeks to preserve our environment by providing an energy conscious design with high efficiency equipment.  McClure Engineering is experienced in both creating energy smart design and identifying energy conservation measures in industrial, agricultural, residential and commercial settings.  Having worked extensively with local utilities on a wide variety of energy conservation programs is one of MEI greatest assets.  MEI is LEED certified and a member of the Green Building Council.

Projects

McClure Engineering has a wide base of experience in the HVAC industry.  Having this broad knowledge of an array of areas comes from years of experience with many different costumers.  MEI has done work on gymnasiums, hospitals, schools, libraries, and offices spaces along with many other types of buildings.  Some of those projects are:

Boise State University Rec. Center

MEI was a key player in the renovations done to the Student Recreation Center at Boise State University that reducing electrical consumption in the building while also increasing the comfort of the building.  MEI performed an energy audit and located several energy conservations measures that significantly improved the quality and efficiency of the building environment.  Working with the local utility MEI was not only able to reduce the electrical use of the building but identified incentive dollars from the local utility to help fund the project.  

 

Minidoka Memorial Hospital

MEI has worked with experience in several hospital and veterinarian applications.  Among those MEI provided the design for the replacement of the HVAC system in two operating rooms at the Minidoka Memorial Hospital.  Design also included replacement of all associated humidifier, control, electrical, structural, water softener, and piping modification.  MEI has the expertise necessary in the unique requirements related to humidity and control that are involved in many HVAC installations. 

 

College of Southern Idaho Auto Body Spray Paint Booth

MEI has also done HVAC work in very specialized area such as automotive locations.  MEI worked with the College of Southern Idaho to furnish and install a new paint spray booth for the school’s Auto Body Program.   MEI’s vast knowledge of HVAC design lead to a solid design on this application that had specific code requirements for ventilation and fire suppression.  All MEI project as performed in strict accordance with all code requirements.

 

Twin Falls School District Multi-Purpose Rooms

Working with the Twin Falls School District MEI provided the design for the new multi-purpose rooms constructed at several of the district’s elementary schools.  These projects required MEI to coordinate with several other disciples including civil, electrical, and structural engineers as well as the lead architect to provide the district with a complete design.  MEI prides itself on working with other disciplines as well as the owner to create systems that meets all the owner’s requirements.
